Snap caps contain no primer, propellant or projectile. The non-functioning, inert primer provides a soft landing for the firing pin or striker.
These are excellent quality - particularly the 12 ga size. I've bought other 12 ga snap caps on Amazon that turned out to be junk - wouldn't feed at all. These are way better, and no more expensive.
